Note From Mary - Branson, Missouri - 21/11/2011
Hello from Branson,
Our 3 week residency at the Tri Lakes Theatre in Branson, Missouri is nearly finished, we've had some lovely weather during this tour. It is great performing at Branson as the shows are afternoon performances and this gives us the opportunity to see other shows at night if we want.
The last show here in Branson is on 23rd November and then we head to Niagara Falls to perform at the Festival of Lights Festival alongside Lorrie Morgan, Ronnie Prophett and Ray Stevens. I love this festival and the falls are spectacular.

Note From Mary - Australian Tour - 27/08/2011
G'day from down under,
We've just finished the 25 show tour in Australia. It's been a pleasure to meet up with new and old faces whilst touring around and enjoying the beautiful landscape by bus. The tour started with four shows, a rest day and then nine back to back shows before travelling to Tasmania for three and back to the mainland to continue the tour. We had a very long journey from Warrnambool to Adelaide for the last show.
Straalen McCallum joined us on the tour, a 13 year old who was the youngest artist to be signed to Sony Records in Australia at the age of 12. He reminds me so much of myself when I started out, he is a breath of fresh air to have around. His Dad Neil is looking after him on Tour and is great fun. Straalen possesses a beautiful singing voice and I wish him every success in his career and I'm sure he will go a long way.
After getting back to Ireland I re-join Daniel and his band again at the Kincasslagh Festival in Co. Donegal. My 9 show UK tour starts in Falkirk, Scotland on 8th September so I will hardly have time to unpack before going on the road again. Looking forward to seeing everyone in the UK again.
Many thanks to everyone in Australia for their support and all the kind comments we received on the shows for myself, the band and Straalen. Also huge thanks to Terry, Bernie and Jamie of Gordon & Stahl for organising and promoting the tour.

Many thanks for all the emails, I received well over a hundred song suggestions. Over the next few months I will be going through all of them between tours and will update you when decisions have been made.
The 10th Annual Mary Duff Appreciation Society 'Mary Duff and Friends' Weeekend was another success last weekend at Llandudno in North Wales, UK. I was joined by Adrian Goslin, a singer from Co. Meath who has been part of the weekend since it started and the Chart Busters, Irelands Premier Mime Act also from Co. Meath. Many thanks for John, June and David for organising the weekend once again. A more detailed report will be published on the website along with photographs soon.
I am back on the road again with Daniel and the band for the Irish Summer Tour and will be heading to Australia at the end of the month for my solo Australian Tour - looking forward to seeing everyone down under again.

Note From Mary - Song Suggestions - 10/06/2011
Hello from Sydney, Nova Scotia in Canada,
The tour of North America has been great, lovely meeting up with old and new faces. We have played in some lovley venues across Canada and America and travelled over 8,000 miles by bus this month. We are just about to start out journey home.
When I get back to Ireland I am going to start work on a small project recording a duet, not with Daniel but with another male singer. I would like to hear your suggestions of songs you would like to hear me sing, but think outside the box... something a bit different not necessarily Country, perhaps Pop, Rock, Classical etc, so get your thinking caps on.

I've got a few weeks break before heading to Llandudno for the Mary Duff Appreciation Society 10th Weekend in Llandudno, North Wales. Looking forward to seeing everyone there. Then we join up with Daniel and band for the Irish summer tour.

A DREAM COME TRUE..... On Saturday February 12 2011, I attended The Daniel O'Donnell Show at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville,TN. After the show I had the chance to meet with with Mary backstage and had this picture taken with her. This was a dream come true being backstage at the Ryman with my favorite star, it could not get any better. It is only fitting that a great star like Mary sing on a stage that so many other great stars sang on. Thank You Mary, Armand from Branson |
